Irrigated by the ancient Colorado River, the Grand Valley has long been a post colonial orchard producer. The peach has reigned supreme though some 40 years ago, someone figured out that grapes thrive in this arid landscape.  And now this region has some of the best wine in the United States.

Modern whitewater kayaking began with canvas wrapped kayaks. Next came fiberglass. Plastic soon overtook the production owing to better elasticity. With the advent of carbon fiber, however, composite whitewater boats once again started to take hold. And with a new discipline, Freestyle, the age of the carbon boat emerged as a choice product in high level competition.  Now, a handfull of companies produce these lightweight, super strong, high flying kayaks!

In 1998, a graduating high school student had an epiphony.  While hiking on a Colorado peak, summer gave way to winter as it does in the high mountains. Constantly changing layers, Seth Anderson started to envision clothing that changed form with the weather.  Thus, Loki was born. He and his older brother embarked on a venture that has become a regional clothing icon.
